High-Power 4000A Peak Dual-Capacitor Spot Welder

Designed for demanding battery-pack assembly and repair. The AxonZelo welder uses two 1500F capacitors and precise single- or dual-pulse control for 18650, 21700 and 32140 battery projects.

Tested Welding Capability

  • Nickel-plated steel: 0.1–0.6 mm
  • Pure nickel: 0.1–0.4 mm
  • Aluminum-nickel strip: 0.1–0.3 mm
  • Copper for 18650/21700 packs: 0.15–0.25 mm
  • For 32140 cells: weld a 0.15 mm nickel-plated base layer first, then weld 0.15 mm nickel-plated strip over 0.2 mm copper

Copper note: 0.15 mm nickel-plated strip over 0.25 mm copper was more reliable than 0.2 mm nickel-plated strip over 0.25 mm copper. Results vary with material, surface condition, probe pressure and settings.

  • 0.30 mm: 16 / 0 / 0 / 6V
  • 0.10 mm nickel + 0.20 mm copper: 10 / 5 / 25 / 6V
  • 0.10 mm nickel + 0.25 mm copper: 15 / 5 / 25 / 6V
  • Multi-layer welding: 20 / 0 / 20 / 6V

Test on scrap material first and increase power gradually.

Safety

This is a resistance spot welder. Press both probes firmly against the strip for full, gap-free contact before triggering. Poor contact can cause arcing, excessive heat, weak welds or damage. Wear eye protection and test settings carefully.
